Game over. i like the contamination/ parasitism progression rhythm, not too speed and not too long, giving time to see all the stages for each characters. Other reviewers would (perhaps rightly) rate the game lower because of the early development stage, but that seems counterproductive for a work in progress – it’s not pretending to be finished. The quality of the content that is there is deserving of a 4, and the dev’s activity in the forums suggests that this will improve down the line which I think deserves a +1 on its own. At the moment, the real issue is that the game is currently a bit empty, but that’s hardly a fair critique. There’s interaction, story, and a good balance between feeling vulnerable and also making progress. Clever use of existing stock photos and GIFs. Interface still a little rough but that’s a teething issue. Fun and imaginative, still in its early stages but hoping it will grow. As the story progresses, more tech, options, and characters are revealed. Ultimately, the player will need to build up their lair and forces to fight a rival alien force, all while remaining undetected by the indigenous authorities.
